Exploded Optic Reds

24" x 24" · Acrylic on canvas

I keep trying hard to get better everyday. I am not kidding, I actually have a notebook that I write what I am working on to try to get better. It started with trying to have no brush strokes on the canvas. To make it look like it was printed. Then I tried to create the «Exploded Optic» style to make my art unique. Then I worked for years on my line work, to make the lines even and fluid. Then I started working on shading effects. Then added the light effect. And finally on this painting I added a second shadow effect. So, it might not look like much, but this painting represents 5 years of constant practice and hard work to better myself. I think about painting all the time. And I love it. Thank you so much for being here.
